Nariyal ki chutney
1/4 gm coconut
2 tablespoon chana dal
1/2 stick tamarind
1/2 tablespoon refined oil
1/2 tablespoon split black gram
2 small green chilli
1 pieces ginger
1 1/2 pinches salt
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
4 curry leaves
Grind the ingredients in a blender.
To make this delicious Coconut Chutney recipe, grind grated coconut, green chillies, chana dal, ginger, tamarind and salt in a blender. Make sure that the consistency is thick and not too thin. If you feel that the chutney is too thick, you may add a little water to loosen it up.
Saute spices for coconut chutney tadka.
For the tempering, heat oil in a small pan over medium flame. Once the oil is sufficiently hot, add the mustard seeds, split black gram dal and curry leaves.
Pour tadka over chutney, mix and serve.
Once they start to splutter, bring them off the flame and pour over the chutney. Mix the ingredients properly before serving. Serve the delicious chutney with dosa or idli and relish.
