Gujarati urad dhal
Ingredients :
1 cup urad dal
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp cumin seeds
1/4 tbsp hing / asafoetida
5-6 curry leaves
2 tbsp green chilli, ginger, garlic paste
1 tbsp chopped green chilli
To taste Salt
1/2 tbsp haldi powder
2 tbsp chopped Coriander
For serving
As required rotla
Method :
Clean, wash and soak the urad dal in enough water in a bowl for 30-minutes.
Combine the urad dal and 1/2-cup water in a pressure cooker, cook for 5-whistles.
Open the lid. Mix well.
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves saute for 1-minutes
Add green chilli, adrakh, garlic paste. saute for 2-minutes. add haldi powder saute for 1-minutes.
Add urad dal, and salt, mix well. add chopped green chilli., add Coriander leaves. mix well.
Serve hot with Rotla, gud, garlic chutney.
