Seb Pilau
Ingredients :
1 cup basmati rice
1 apple
10 bean
50 gm cashews
1/2 teaspoon Garlic paste
1 pinch powdered turmeric
2 tablespoon ghee
1 large onion
1 carrot
1/4 cup peas
1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon powdered black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Refined oil
Method :
Step 1
To prepare the sweet and tangy rice, peel off the skin of carrot and cut it into pieces. Then chop onions and beans finely.
Step 2
Now, soak basmati rice in water for about 15 minutes. When soaked, strain the rice and set them aside.
Step 3
For cooking rice, take a frying pan and heat ghee in it. Add rice in the pan, fry them and set aside.
Step 4
After frying the rice, put a a pressure cooker over medium flame and heat oil in it. Add onion, ginger-garlic paste and fry it, till it turns light brown.
Step 5
Then add carrot, beans, peas and fry them for a minute. Now, add turmeric powder, pepper powder, cashews, apple, rice, 2 cups of water in the cooker. Cover the pressure cooker with a lid and cook the rice.
Step 6
When cooker whistles, switch of the stove. Serve it hot to your loved ones.
