Aloo samosa
Ingredients :
2 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoon ghee
1/4 teaspoon thymol seeds
2 cup Refined oil
For Filling
6 large boiled,peeled,mashed potato
2 green chilli
1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
1 teaspoon dry mango powder
1/2 cup boiled,mashed peas
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1 tablespoon chopped Raisins
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
10 halved cashews
For the main dish
4 tablespoon Water
Method :
Step 1
For making this delicious snack, mix salt along with thymol seeds in the all purpose flour (maida). Add melted clarified butter and mix well.
Step 2
Add a little water at a time and knead into a soft pliable dough. Cover it with moist Muslin cloth and keep aside for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Boil the potatoes and peas separately till done. Cool the potatoes and mash them well. In a bowl add mashed potatoes and add all dry masalas and green chilies, ginger and mix well.
Step 4
Add green peas, cashews and raisins and mix well. Add coriander and keep aside.
Step 5
Divide the dough into 8 equal parts. Roll each part into a 5 inch diameter circle. Cut it into two parts like semi-circle.
Step 6
Take one semi-circle and fold it like a cone. Use water while doing so. Place a spoon of filling in the cone and seal the third side using a drop of water.
Step 7
Heat oil in a kadhai and deep fry the samosas in medium hot oil till golden brown.
Step 8
Serve it hot with coriander and tamarind chutney, and relish the taste of this yummy snack.
